2022 JLC Grant and Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in our services. Each year the Junior League of Columbus's (JLC) Community Impact Council awards financial grants and/or volunteer requests. During this grant cycle, the JLC is accepting project proposals for events that occur from September 2022 through June 2023.

Please apply even if event dates are not confirmed.

Once approved, the amount awarded per financial grant varies ($1,000 maximum grant will be awarded for each application). Award recipients must be charitable, not-for-profit organizations, and have appropriate liability insurance.

JLC volunteer availability is highest on weekends and between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays.

Project Description

1. Define the goal of your organization’s project and its impact on the Columbus community. How many will be served by the project and how will you measure the success of your project?

2. One of the current focuses of the Junior League of Columbus is supporting youth aging out of foster care, however that is not the sole focus for volunteering within the League. Please highlight in what ways does your event, or organization, support the overall focus of supporting youth aging out of foster care if possible.

3. Provide a description of your organization’s project, including the date and time of the event, the event location, and, if applicable, contingencies in the event of rain.

4. Explain your organization’s project volunteer needs, including the number of JLC volunteers requested, the number of JLC volunteer hours requested, and detailed volunteer job descriptions and duties.

5. State the amount of JLC project funds requested and how the JLC funds will be utilized. If possible, please provide a complete project budget and, if the project budget exceeds the amount requested from the JLC, the source(s) of the remaining funds.
